Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"SEPARAçãO DE SUSPENSõES LìQUIDAS"<D>. A presente invenção refere-se a um separador para separar partículas e/ou gotículas de fluido em suspensão de uma massa de líquido, onde fluido é levado a escoar através de pelo menos um trajeto helicoidal de fluxo definido entre superfícies axiais de contato de várias placas helicoidais cónicas. De modo preferencial, um canal de fluxo (1) substancialmente vertical de seção transversal circular possui disposto nele pelo menos uma placa helicoidal cónica (10), com diâmetro substancialmente igual àquele do canal de fluxo, a placa ou placas helicoidais cónicas sendo dispostas coaxialmente no canal de fluxo e definindo pelo menos um trajeto helicoidal de fluxo coaxial com o canal de fluxo entre superfícies axiais de contato da placa ou placas. A placa ou placas são preferencialmente capazes de girar em torno do eixo geométrico do canal de fluxo e podem ser acionadas a uma velocidade de modo a corresponder com, ou de modo a ser maior ou menor que, a vazão de fluido.
