Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"APARELHO E PROCESSO DE TRANSMISSãO E RECEPçãO INCLUINDO CODIFICAçãO E DECODIFICAçãO CONVOLUCIONAL 'PUNCTURADA'". Dados digitais (particularmente sinais de programa de televisão codificados) são comunicados por um transmissor para um receptor terrestre pela codificação convolucional dos dados em um primeiro e um segundo sinal durante diferentes períodos representando um sinal de 1/2 taxa. Durante os diferentes períodos, os dois sinais são combinados e puncturados em um fluxo de bit puncturado serial para produzir um sinal convolucionalmente codificado de correção de erro antecipada tendo uma taxa automaticamente ou manualmente selecionada p.ex. taxa de 2/3 ou de 6/7.
