Abstract

PURPOSE: To classify nonferrous metallic components in particular from a solid mixture in an excellent running form by adjusting the working range of the alternating magnetic field created by a magnet rotor by changing the position of the revolving shaft of a magnet rotor. CONSTITUTION: The nonmagnetized metals, more particularly the nonferrous metals are classified from the solid mixture by a rotary drum 5 equipped with the rotary type magnet rotor 6 having permanent magnets 9. The position of the revolving shaft 14 of the rotor 6 is made adjustable by the rotational transfer in a circumferential direction within a range of a quadrant 18 inclusive of a material release zone 20 and/or the movement in a radial direction in order to adjust the working range of the alternating magnetic field created by the rotor 6. Consequently, the classification of the nonferrous metallic components in particular from the solid mixture in the excellent operating form is thus made possible.
