forno rotativo e método para queimar material que contém carbonato, em particular calcário ou dolomita. a presente invenção refere-se a um forno rotativo para queima de um material que contém carbonato, em particular calcário ou dolomita, que compreende um tubo rotativo (1) com uma extremidade de entrada (2a) para alimentação do material a ser queimado e uma extremidade de saída (4a) para a descarga do material queimado, o tubo rotativo (1) tendo uma zona de entrada (2) em sua extremidade de entrada (2a) e uma zona de saída (4) em sua extremidade de saída (4a), em que uma zona de preaquecimento (3a) e uma zona de combustão (3b) estão dispostas entre a zona de entrada (2) e a zona de saída (4), o forno rotativo sendo caracterizado, de acordo com a invenção, pelo fato de que, na zona de entrada (2) do tubo rotativo (1), é fornecida pelo menos uma saliência (6), em que a pelo menos uma saliência (6) tem pelo menos uma superfície deslizante (6a) inclinada em relação ao eixo longitudinal do tubo rotativo (1) para transporte do material a ser queimado da zona de entrada (2) para a zona de preaquecimento (3a). a presente invenção refere-se ainda a um método para queimar material que contém carbonato, em particular calcário ou dolomita.
