Abstract
CONTROLE DE VIDRO REDOX EM FUNDIÇÃO POR COMBUSTÃO SUBMERSA. A presente invenção refere-se a um método de produção de vidro usando fundição por combustão submersa. O método inclui introduzir um material de alimentação vitrificável (30) em um fundido de vidro (22) contido em um fundidor de combustão submersa (10). O fundido de vidro contido no fundidor tem uma razão redox definida como uma razão de Fe2+ para ferro total no fundido de vidro. O método adicionalmente inclui a combustão de uma mistura de gás combustível (G) fornecida a cada um dos queimadores submersos (62) para produzir produtos de combustão (68) e descarregar os produtos de combustão diretamente no fundido de vidro. Além disso, o método inclui ajustar a razão redox do fundido de vidro, controlando uma ou mais condições de operação do fundidor de combustão submersa selecionado a partir de (1) uma razão oxigênio-combustível da mistura de gás combustível fornecida a cada um dos queimadores submersos, (2) um tempo de residência do fundido de vidro, e (3) um fluxo de gás através do fundido de vidro.
