monitoramento de desgaste de equipamento de frenagem para a vida útil restante. a presente invenção refere-se a um sistema para se monitorar o uso de um equipamento de frenagem de vagão ferroviário e deter-minar se a vida útil real do equipamento de frenagem é mais curta do que uma vida útil esperada, apresenta o equipamento de frenagem utilizado sob parâmetros normais ou constantes. o sistema inclui um sensor para coletar e enviar dados indicando como o equipamento de frenagem foi, de fato, utilizado. um controlador é programado para receber os dados referentes a como o componente do sistema de frenagem foi utilizado e para calcular se o componente do sistema de frenagem possui uma vida útil estimada, mais curta do que a vida útil esperada. o sensor pode compreender um sensor de temperatura ambiente, um sensor de fluxo que determina o ar utilizado pelo sistema de frenagem que inclui o componente do sistema de frenagem, e/ou um sensor de pressão que pode determinar com que frequência e de que forma o sistema de frenagem foi utilizado.
