um sistema (46) para monitorar e/ou protocolar uma posição de uma ferramenta (10) em um poço de elevador (30) compreende um sistema de medição de posição (48) para medir uma posição da ferramenta (10) em relação a uma cabine de elevador (34); um sistema de medição de altura (50) para medir uma altura da cabine de elevador (34) no poço de elevador (30); e um sistema de avaliação (52) que é executado para receber dados de medição do sistema de medição de posição (48) e do sistema de medição de altura (50) e determinar uma posição da ferramenta (10) em relação ao poço de elevador (30).
