Abstract
é fornecido um método para operar um esquema de proteção diferencial reconfigurável para realizar proteção diferencial de uma rede de energia elétrica (10), a rede de energia elétrica (10) compreendendo uma pluralidade de terminais (12, 14, 16, 18), cada um da pluralidade de terminais (12, 14, 16, 18) configurado para se comunicarem entre si com a pluralidade de terminais (12, 14, 16, 18) dentro de uma rede de comunicações, o método compreendendo as etapas de: - controlar o esquema de proteção diferencial para desativar a proteção diferencial; - selecionar um terminal (14) para ser configurado para fora ou para dentro do esquema de proteção diferencial; - comunicar informações de reconfiguração entre a pluralidade de terminais (12, 14, 16, 18) através da rede de comunicações, as informações de reconfiguração incluindo a seleção do terminal (14) a ser configurado para fora ou para dentro do esquema de proteção diferencial, em que a rede de comunicações é qualquer uma das seguintes: uma rede de comunicações em cadeia margarida; uma rede de comunicações em anel; uma rede de comunicações em malha; uma rede de comunicações em estrela; uma rede de comunicações em cabeamento; uma rede de comunicações em árvore; ou um híbrido dos mesmos; - depois de comunicar as informações de reconfiguração entre a pluralidade de terminais (12, 14, 16, 18), modificar um respectivo algoritmo de proteção diferencial em cada um dos terminais não selecionados (12, 16, 18) de modo a configurar o terminal selecionado (14) para fora ou para dentro do esquema de proteção diferencial; e - controlar o esquema de proteção diferencial para reativar a proteção diferencial.
