Abstract
o presente invento refere-se a um sistema de propulsão independente do ar (aip - air independent propulsion). a presente invenção refere-se mais particularmente a um sistema de propulsão independente do ar para submarinos baseado em células de combustível de ácido fosfórico (pafc - phosphoric acid fuel cells), tendo um gerador de hidrogênio de bordo e um sistema de condicionamento de energia. a presente invenção também se refere a um método para aumentar a vida e o desempenho das pilhas de pafc. o principal bloco de tecnologia do sistema de aip do presente invento é mostrado esquematicamente na figura 1.
