Abstract

a presente invenção se refere ao uso de uma proteína tolerante a herbicida, em que o método para controlar ervas daninhas compreende aplicar um herbicida que contém uma dose eficaz de halossulfurona-metila a um ambiente de crescimento de planta em que pelo menos uma planta transgênica está presente, em que a planta transgênica compreende uma sequência de nucleotídeos que codifica uma tifensulfurona hidrolase em seu genoma, e em comparação com outras plantas sem a sequência de nucleotídeos que codifica a hidrolase, a planta transgênica tem danos à planta reduzidos e/ou um rendimento de planta aumentado. a presente invenção revela, pela primeira vez, que uma tifensulfurona hidrolase pode mostrar uma alta tolerância a um herbicida de halossulfurona-metila, plantas que contêm uma sequência de nucleotídeos que codifica a tifensulfurona hidrolase são fortemente tolerantes ao herbicida de halossulfurona-metila e podem, pelo menos, tolerar a concentração em campo de 1 vez e, então, a hidrolase tem prospectos de aplicação ampla em plantas.
