a presente invenção se refere a uma composição e método para o tratamento de semente, que permite descontaminação eficiente de sementes de ácidos nucleicos, vírus, bactérias e micro-organismos externos indesejados. uma comparação do comprimento médio dos brotos de sementes após 6 dias de germinação mostra o efeito positivo do método de acordo com a invenção em germinação e desenvolvimento de semente. isto é, o tratamento de semente com a composição de acordo com a invenção surpreendentemente também resulta em melhoria de desenvolvimento de muda. a composição pode ser aplicada como uma solução à base de água ou carreador sólido ou em combinação com outros aditivos de tratamento de semente tais como nutrientes, fungicidas ou pesticidas. a composição de acordo com a invenção também permite o revestimento de sementes.
