Abstract
a presente invenção refere-se a um método de utilização de um processamento de agitação por fricção para reparar um defeito em uma solda preexistente de uma tubulação de aço ou de outra liga ferrosa. o método compreende a ligação de guias de inserção e de fuga à tubulação nos respectivos lados do defeito e, em seguida, o avanço de uma ferramenta de processamento de agitação por fricção na guia de inserção. a ferramenta é movida a partir da guia de inserção para a guia de fuga ao longo de um caminho de processamento de solda que incorpora o defeito. uma vez reparado o defeito, a ferramenta é removida a partir da guia de fuga. as guias de inserção e de fuga podem então ser removidas da tubulação. as guias de inserção e de fuga são geralmente em forma de cunha, cada uma das quais compreendendo uma face de assento interna e uma face de execução externa que converge com a face de assento interna. quando anexadas à tubulação, as guias estão em direção uma à outra sobre a circunferência da tubulação.
