são descritos um sistema e um método para facilitar a tomada de decisões em uma embarcação (100). o sistema compreende um ou mais processadores (102) configurados para: adquirir dados ambientais compreendendo medições de um ou mais parâmetros de um ambiente em uma localidade de uma embarcação (100); prover uma pluralidade de modelos digitais, cada modelo digital modelando um efeito do ambiente na respectiva capacidade da embarcação (100), cada capacidade da embarcação (100) sendo designada a uma ou mais ações, cada ação sendo realizável pela embarcação (100) ou uma entidade da embarcação (100); usar os dados ambientais e os modelos digitais para modelar um efeito do ambiente nas capacidades da embarcação (100); receber uma seleção de uma ação; e, usar saídas de cada modelo digital que modela uma capacidade que é designada à ação selecionada para determinar uma avaliação de risco para a ação selecionada.
