a presente invenção se refere a um processo para a produção de polibutadienóis a partir de polibutadienos com massa molar média numérica a partir de 300 a 2.000 g/mol que compreende a partir de 20 a 50% de ligações duplas 1,4 e a partir de 50 a 80% de ligações duplas 1,2 vinílicas e 1,2 ciclovinílicas, com base na quantidade de todas as ligações duplas, que compreende as etapas (i) da epoxidação de algumas ou todas as ligações duplas 1,4 com um reagente de epoxidização que seletivamente epoxita as ligações duplas 1,4, (ii) da reação do polibutadieno epoxidado com um álcool ou água para fornecer um polibutadienol.
