Abstract
um cabo resistente ao fogo compreendendo: pelo menos um elemento de condução; pelo menos uma camada, circundando o referido elemento de condução, feito de uma composição ceramificável compreendendo: um material polimérico compreendendo um copolímero de acetato de vinila/etileno como polímero principal; pelo menos 25% em peso de sílica; um agente fundente selecionado a partir de óxidos de metal alcalino ou os precursores destes; um agente de estabilização compreendendo pelo menos um de mgo, cao, pbo, b2o3, ou um precursor destes; a partir de 0,1% em peso a 5% em peso de um hidróxido selecionado a partir de hidróxido de magnésio, hidróxido de alumínio e as misturas destes; as porcentagens acima sendo expressas em relação ao peso da composição ceramificável. na exposição às temperaturas elevadas, tais como, aquelas encontradas no caso de fogo, a composição ceramificável é transformada em um material de cerâmica capaz de proteger o elemento de condução de fogo e estresses mecânicos. o cabo resistente ao fogo da presente invenção pode continuar operando em condições de fogo durante um certo período de tempo.
