Abstract
PROCESSO PARA A ACETILAÇÃO DE MADEIRA E MADEIRA ACETILADA. A invenção refere-se a um processo para acetilação de madeira tendo uma densidade acima de 400 kg/m3, particularmente, de Pinho Amarelo do Sul, e madeira acetilada obtenível por este método. O processo de acetilação descrito permite a produção de madeira acetilada tendo níveis de acetilação mais elevados, tais como um teor de acetila de pelo menos 20% em peso. A madeira acetilada tem também um baixo teor de ácido acético residual, em particular, inferior a 1% em peso. A invenção é particularmente útil para a acetilação em escala industrial de peças de madeira sólida, preferivelmente, de vigas de madeira.
