dispositivo de detecção e sistema correspondente para determinar a orientação das rodas de um veículo trata-se de um dispositivo de detecção (7a) para determinação da orientação de uma primeira e uma segunda rodas (2) de um veículo (3), sendo que as rodas são dispostas em um primeiro lado do veículo (3) em relação a um eixo geométrico longitudinal do mesmo (a). o dispositivo é montado lateralmente em relação ao veículo (3) no primeiro lado, entre a primeira e a segunda rodas e tem um primeiro (8) e um segundo (8') elementos de aquisição de imagem localizados em um suporte de base (16) que tem uma respectiva área de visão (v) para aquisição de imagens de um primeiro e um segundo alvos (5) acoplados à primeira e à segunda rodas, respectivamente. uma unidade de deslocamento (10) é acoplada de modo operacional aos primeiro (8) e segundo (8') elementos de aquisição de imagem para rotação dos mesmos simultaneamente através de um ou do mesmo ângulo de rotação de modo a adaptar sua área de visão à posição do primeiro e do segundo alvos (5). o dispositivo de detecção (7a) compreende adicionalmente sensores de alinhamento adicionais (27a, 27b, 28a, 28b) também localizados no suporte de base (16) para medição de parâmetros de calibragem do suporte de base (16).
