Abstract
método para a produção de um catalisador de óxido de etileno altamente seletivo processo para a preparação de um catalisador útil para a produção em fase vapor de óxido de etileno a partir de etileno e oxigênio, constituído pela produção de um precursor de catalisador composto por um suporte inerte tendo uma quantidade cataliticamente efetiva de um composto que contém prata, uma quantidade promotora de um composto contendo metal alcalino, e uma quantidade promotora de um composto contendo metal de transição colocado no mesmo; a calcinação do precursor do catalisador para converter a prata no composto que contém em prata metálica através do aquecimento do precursor do catalisador para formar um catalisador; e a cura do catalisador em uma atmosfera de gás inerente em temperaturas de cerca de 250<198> c a cerda de 600<198> c durante um período de cerca de 1 hora a 200 horas.
