cultura biologicamente pura do microrganismo clostridium coskatil, e, método para produzir etanol. uma nova espécie de clostridia bacterial (clostridium coskatii atcc nº. pta - 10522. "ps02") é fornecido. sob condições anaeróbicas c. coskatii podem converter co e/ou h~ 2~ e/ou co~ 2~ ao etanol ou acetato. deste modo, esta nova bactéria é capaz de transformar os gases residuais (por exemplo resíduos de gás de síntese e refinaria) em produtos úteis.
