Abstract
método para fabricar uma fibra óptica. método para fabricar fibras ópticas, compreendendo: cortar sulcos especularmente simétricos (2, 3) em uma barra de pré-forma (1) que é inserida um tubo (4) de material óptico; fundir a barra de pré-forma e o tubo em uma área de não trabalho; tracionar a barra de pré-forma fundida e tubo para dentro de uma pré-forma que tem canais longitudinais definidos pelos sulcos (2 ,3) e o tubo (4); cortar a pré-forma (5) em segmentos; causticar os canais longitudinais; selar a (s) extremidade (s) do segmento; montar segmentos com um tubo capilar e suporte tubular de processo; unir o segmento e o tubo capilar em um lado oposto ao suporte tubular de processo; estirar o segmento de pré-forma em fibra óptica, e aplicar um revestimento de fortalecimento protetor sobre a fibra óptica estirada. como resultado, uma fibra óptica é produzida, a qual tem propriedades birrefringentes influenciadas pelas dimensões dos sulcos especularmente simétricos e da etapa de causticação.
