Abstract
a invenção se refere a uma fibra óptica compreendendo um núcleo óptico e um revestimento óptico que cerca o núcleo óptico, o núcleo óptico apresentando um único perfil de índice graduado a com a = 1, e o núcleo óptico apresentando um raio r1 e um índice de refração máximo no, o dito revestimento óptico apresentando um índice de refração ncl. o dito revestimento óptico compreende uma região de índice de refração reduzido ntrench, com um raio interno r2, com r2 = r1, e um raio externo r3, com r3 > r2. de acordo com as realizações da invenção, o valor de a do dito perfil de índice graduado e o raio de núcleo óptico r1 são selecionados de maneira que r1 = 13,5µm e de maneira a atender um critério c de qualidade. assim, a invenção provê um link de fibra óptica de poucos modos, que permite guiar um maior número de modos lp em comparação às fmfs da técnica anterior enquanto alcança o menor adiamento de grupo de modo diferencial. assim, o alcance do sistema é aumentado em relação à técnica anterior.
