placa de forro compósita, método de produção da mesma e célula de produção de alumínio. trata-se de materiais compósitos que compreendem diboreto de titânio e nitreto de boro usados para forrar células de produção de alumínio eletrolítico (10). os materiais compósitos podem ser usados para forrar as paredes laterais (14, 16) e/ou parede inferior (12) da célula (10). a razão entre diboreto de titânio e nitreto de boro pode ser controlada a fim de fornecer o nível desejado de condutividade elétrica, dependendo da região particular da célula (10) em que a placa de forro (12, 14, 16) é instalada. os materiais compósitos de diboreto de titânio/nitreto de boro exibem um comportamento de umedecimento de alumínio desejável e são capazes de resistir à exposição à criolita fundida (20), alumínio fundido (22) e oxigênio em temperaturas elevadas durante a operação das células de produção de alumínio eletrolítico (10).
