Abstract

processo para o registro de imagens tridimensionais a invenção refere-se a um processo para o registro de imagens tridimensionais de objeto utilizando duas câmaras (1a, 1b), possuindo áreas de registro que se sobrepõem umas às outras . no decurso do processo de calibragem, é determinado um grupo de linhas espipolares (9a,9b) atribuídas umas às outras para cada uma das câmaras (1a,1b). a imagem aleatória (40) determinada é projectada sobre o objeto (30) a registrar . para cada pixel da câmara é determinada uma primeira proximidade (13a), a primeira linha epipolar (9a) atribuída , e para a referida primeira linha epipolar (9a) é determinada a segunda linha epipolar (9b) atribuída da segunda câmara (1b). para todos os pixels (8b) da imagem da segunda câmara (1b) localizados na segunda linha epipolar (9b), é determinada uma segunda proximidade (13b) congruente com a primeira proximidade. os valores de intensidade da primeira e da segunda proximidade (13a,13b) são comparados uns com os outros e é calculada uma medida coincidente . é determinada a posição de imagem (14) na segunda linha epipolar (9b) para a qual a medida coincidente é a maior. a posição espacial (17) é determinada em função da informação determinada anteriormente. a imagem tridimensional engloba a posição espacial (17) assim determinada.
