máquina para usinagem de virabrequins; e método para fazer furos de alívio de peso em um virabrequim. a máquina para a usinagem de virabrequins compreende um suporte (2) para suportar pelo menos um virabrequim (100) e pelo menos um atuador (1) para acionar uma ferramenta de usinagem para usinar o virabrequim. o suporte (2) está configurado para prender o virabrequim com pelo menos dois dispositivos de fixação (21) configurados para fixar o virabrequim em correspondência com pelo menos dois munhões (103) principais do virabrequim. o suporte (2) gira em relação a um eixo vertical (a) para modificar o ângulo de ataque entre um eixo longitudinal (b) do virabrequim (100) e o atuador. o suporte é equipado com um mecanismo de rotação (22) que se desloca entre uma posição recolhida, na qual ele não interage com o virabrequim (100) e uma posição de acionamento, na qual o mecanismo de rotação (22) interage com o virabrequim (100) a fim de girar o virabrequim (100) em relação ao seu eixo longitudinal (b). a máquina é apropriada para fazer furos de alívio de peso em virabrequins.
