"PREVISãO DA PERFORMANCE ANIMAL". A invenção proporciona métodos para caracterizar a performance animal com base no perfil microbiano de um animal. A invenção também proporciona métodos para monitorar o efeito de um regime alimentar ou de aditivo alimentar sobre o perfil microbiano de um ou mais animais. A invenção proporciona adicionalmente um método para administrar uma operação de crescimento ou processamento animal. São proporcionados artigos de manufatura que podem ser usados para avaliar o perfil microbiano de uma amostra biológica, e também são proporcionados sistemas e softwares para determinação de um índice de perfil microbiano a partir de informações de perfis microbianos.
