Abstract

"MéTODO DE ARREFECIMENTO DE UM MOTOR DE COMBUSTãO INTERNA". A presente invenção refere-se a um método de arrefecimento de um motor de combustão interna compreendendo a circulação no sistema de arrefecimento de um motor, operando em uma temperatura de pelo menos 140<198>C, de uma quantidade efetiva de um agente de arrefecimento compreendendo um depressor do ponto de congelamento do tipo álcool líquido, um ácido carboxílico C~ 5~ a C~ 16~ ou seus sais. Em modalidades preferidas, oxidação de depressores do ponto de congelamento do tipo álcool líquido em aplicações em temperatura alta é suprimida pelo uso de um ou mais ácidos monocarboxílicos alifáticos ou de seus sais de metal alcalino ou de amina em combinação com ácidos dicarboxílicos ou seus sais de metal alcalino, de amónio ou de amina e triazóis e/ou, opcionalmente, imidazóis.
