Abstract

"ADAPTADOR DE VIAS AéREAS COM BAIXO ESPAçO MORTO". Descreve-se um adaptador de vias aéreas (50, 150, 300, 400, 500), apropriado para uso em pacientes tendo baixos volumes correntes, p. ex., neonatos, o que minimiza o espaço morto nas vias aéreas e promove um fluxo estável de gases através do adaptador. O adaptador inclui uma primeira parte (54, 154, 304, 404, 504) adaptada para se acoplar a um adaptador tubular, tal como um adaptador de tubo endotraqueal, e uma segunda parte adaptada para se acoplar a um tubo de ventilação. Um elemento longitudinalmente compressível é acoplado na primeira parte, para minimizar o espaço morto no adaptador. Uma parte do elemento compressível, de modo resiliente, faz contato e sela de encontro a um adaptador tubular, após a montagem do adaptador de vias aéreas com este.
