A invenção envolve papéis tendo um amido interno ou um amido aplicado através de uma prensa de colagem e um composto contendo boro, o qual é adicionado proporcionalmente ao amido e, o qual acredita-se que interaja com o amido para proporcionar propriedades físicas e mecânicas aperfeiçoadas ao papel. Métodos para a formação dos papéis também são divulgados.
