Abstract
"DISPERSõES DE SILICONE". Uma composição de silicone compreende uma fase contínua de um líquido orgânico polar tendo dispersas no mesmo partículas de um antiespumante de silicone em contato íntimo com e circundado por um encapsulante. O encapsulante é um sólido a 25<198>C é escassamente solúvel no líquido orgânico polar a 25<198>C mas está substancialmente dissolvido no líquido polar orgânico numa temperatura elevada na faixa de 40-100<198>C. A composição antiespumante de silicone encapsulada pode ser produzida por (I) dispersar um fluido de poli-organo-siloxano, um material orgânico sólido e um material de silicáceo hidrofóbico num líquido orgânico polar com cisalhamento tal que o tamanho médio de partícula de silicone seja menor que 0,5 mm, a temperatura da dispersão sendo suficientemente elevada de modo a dissolver o dito material orgânico na composição; e (II) resfriar a dispersão para depositar o material orgânico sobre a interface das partículas de silicone e simultaneamente agitar suficientemente para manter o tamanho de partícula de silicone abaixo de 0,5 mm.
