Abstract

ARTIGO ABRASIVO VìTREO LIGADO. Um artigo abrasivo vítreo ligado, sendo mais particularmente uma roda para esmerilhamento que possui um desempenho de esmerilhamento melhorado é proporcionado, onde os poros abertos do artigo abrasivo contêm um impregnante que compreende pelo menos uma substância orgânica que porta enxofre, insolúvel em água, que possui pelo menos uma ligação carbono a enxofre, pelo menos cerca de 5% em peso de enxofre e um ponto de fusão de pelo menos 30<198>C, esse dito ponto de fusão sendo pelo menos 10<198>C abaixo da temperatura de decomposição da substância, que é selecionada do grupo que consiste de substâncias orgânicas que portam enxofre heterocíclicas substituídas e alquenila, alquinila, alquilarila, arilalquila, alifáticas, aromáticas, cicloalifáticas, substituídas e não-substituídas, ou uma mistura das ditas substâncias auxiliares de esmerilhamento. O impregnante é isento de um meio, outro que não a substância que porta enxofre, insolúvel em água, no qual a substância ou a mistura dessas substâncias é dissolvida ou dispersada. Rodas de esmerilhamento vítreas ligadas de acordo com a invenção e que apresentam um desempenho de esmerilhamento melhorado foram produzidos possuindo os poros abertos contendo um impregnante que compreende uma substância que porta enxofre, insolúvel em água, de acordo com a fórmula que se segue, como o único constituinte do impregnante, onde R~ 1~, R~ 2~, R~ 3~ e R~ 4~ são iguais ou diferentes e são selecionados do grupo que consiste de grupos alquila, arila, cicloalquila, arilalquil e alquilarila, e x é de 1 a 6.
