Abstract

"MéTODO DE CODIFICAçãO E DE DECODIFICAçãO DE VìDEO, CODIFICADOR E DECODIFICADOR DE VìDEO, PRODUTO DE PROGRAMA DE COMPUTADOR, E, SINAL DE VìDEO". O método de codificação e de decodificação de vídeo, onde uma imagem é primeiro dividida em sub-imagens correspondendo a uma ou mais regiões de imagem subjetivamente mais importantes e uma sub-imagem de região de fundo, a qual permanece após as outras sub-imagens serem removidas da imagem. As sub-imagens são formadas para conformar aos grupos permitidos predeterminados dos macroblocos (MBs) de codificação de vídeo. Os grupos permitidos de MBs podem ser, por exemplo, de formato retangular. A imagem é então dividida em fatias, de forma que cada sub-imagem seja codificada independentemente das outras sub-imagens exceto para a sub-imagem da região de fundo, que pode ser codificada usando outras sub-imagens. As fatias da sub-imagem de fundo são formadas em uma ordem de varredura com saltos sobre os MBs que pertencem a outra sub/imagem. A sub-imagem de fundo é apenas decodificada se todas as posições e tamanhos de todas as outras sub-imagens puderem ser reconstruídos na decodificação da imagem.
