Abstract
A találmány tárgyát videokódoló és -dekódoló eljárás képezi, amelyneksorán a képet először egy vagy több szubjektív szempontból fontosképrégiónak megfelelő alképekre, valamit egy, a képből a többi alképeltávolítása után maradó háttér régió alképre bontják. Az alképeketvideokódoló makroblokkok (MB-k) előre meghatározott, engedélyezettcsoportjainak megfelelően alakítják ki. Az MB-k engedélyezettcsoportjai lehetnek például téglalap alakúak. A képet ezutánszeletekre osztják fel úgy, hogy az egyes alképek a többi alképtólfüggetlenül kerülnek kódolásra, kivéve a háttérrégió alképet, amelymás alképek használatával lehet kódolva. A háttéralkép szeleteiletapogatási sorrendben a más alképekhez tartozó MB-k átugrásávalkerülnek kialakításra. A háttéralképet csak akkor dekódolják, ameny-nyiben az össszes többi alkép pozíciója és mérete rekonstruálható akép dekódolása közben.
