Abstract
"MéTODO APERFEIçOADO PARA ESTIMULAR RECUPERAçãO DE óLEO DE UMA FORMAçãO SUBTERRâNEA". é provido um método para recuperar óleo de uma formação portadora de óleo subterrânea. Um ou mais pares de eletrodos são inseridos no terreno nas proximidades de uma massa de óleo na dita formação. Uma diferença de tensão é então estabelecida entre os eletrodos de forma a criar um campo elétrico na formação portadora de óleo. A medida em que tensão é aplicada, a corrente é manipulada de forma a induzir reações de oxidação e redução em componentes do óleo. As reações de oxidação e redução abaixam a viscosidade do óleo e dessa forma reduzem a resistência capilar ao fluxo de óleo, de maneira tal que o óleo possa ser removido em um poço de extração.
