Abstract

"FREIO DE MãO PARA UM SISTEMA DE FREIO A DISCO E UM SISTEMA DE FREIO A DISCO INCORPORANDO O MESMO". Um freio de mão (14) é incorporado em uma caixa (10) de um sistema de freios a disco (12) . A caixa (10) é no formato de um anel anular guarnecido com uma pluralidade de cavidades (16) para abrigar pistões do freio de serviço que atuam sobre pastilhas de freio (18) para seletivamente forçar as pastilhas de freio (18) sobre um disco de freio para produzir um efeito de frenagem. O freio de mão (14) inclui um acionador (23) sustentado pela caixa (10) que é capaz de mudar de um estado aplicado, onde força o contato da pastilha de freio (18) contra o disco de freio do sistema (10), independente da ação dos pistões do freio de serviço, produzindo um efeito de frenagem no freio de mão, para um estado de repouso, onde o acionador (23) permite que a pastilha de freio (18) se desencaixe do disco de freio. O acionador (23) inclui um pistão de freio de mão hidráulico (27) possuindo uma haste (24) . Na ausência da aplicação da pressão de fluido, uma mola (34) do acionador (23) opera para mudar o acionador (23) para um estado aplicado onde a haste (24) empurra sobre a pastilha (18) forçando contato com o disco de freio, proporcionando o efeito de frenagem.
