Abstract
"PROCESSO DE REGULAçãO DE UMA CéLULA DE ELETRóLISE". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de regulação de uma célula de eletrólise para a produção de alumínio por redução de alumina dissolvida em um banho de criolita fundida, e compreende a adição, no banho de eletrólito, durante intervalos de tempo p predeterminados chamados de "períodos", de uma quantidade determinada Q(p) de trifluoreto de alumínio (AIF~ 3~) determinada pela seguinte relação: Q(p) = Qint(p) - Qc1 (p) + Qt(p), na qual Qint(p) é um termo integral ("auto-adaptativo") que representa as necessidades reais totais da célula em AIF~ 3~ e que é calculado a partir de uma média Qm(p) dos aportes reais em AIF~ 3~ efetuados durante os N últimos períodos, Qc1 é um termo corretivo que corresponde à quantidade dita equivalente de AIF~ 3~ contida na alumina adicionada à célula durante o período p, e Qt(p) é um termo corretivo que é uma função tipicamente crescente da diferença entre a temperatura do banho medida T(p) e uma temperatura nominal. O processo de acordo com a invenção permite regular eficazmente a acidez de uma célula de eletrólise a intensidades que podem atingir 500 kA com um banho de eletrólito que tem um teor em AIF~ 3~ superior a 11 %.
