Abstract
"PROCESSO DE SEPARAçãO DOS TETRACLORETOS DE ZIRCÈNIO E DE HáFNIO COM O AUXìLIO DE UM SOLVENTE FUNDIDO". A invenção refere-se a um processo de separação dos tetracloretos de zircónio e de háfnio com o auxílio de um solvente que compreende por um lado um solvente metálico alcalino formado de um sal de um cloreto de metal alcalino e de um cloreto metálico ácido A, por exemplo, um cloroaluminato ou um cloroferrato alcalino e, por outro lado um cloreto metálico ou metalóidico ácido B, que tem uma acidez inferior à acidez do cloreto metálico ácido A. O cloreto metálico ou metalóidico ácido B é de preferência escolhido entre os cloretos Mg, Zn e Cu. O processo pode ser um processo de separação em modo contínuo, por absorção seletiva dos vapores dos tetracloretos pelo solvente no estado substancialmente ou totalmente fundido.
