Abstract

"ACESSO DE ENERGIA BAIXA A UMA UNIDADE DE COMPUTAçãO A PARTIR DE UMA FONTE EXTERNA". Um método para a conservação de energia em uma unidade de computação e para a transferência de dados entre a unidade de computação e uma fonte externa. A unidade de computação está em um modo de salvamento de energia. O método inclui o recebimento na unidade de computação de uma requisição a partir de uma fonte externa, a determinação de quais componentes da unidade de computação são requeridos para se responder à requisição, a ativação seletiva, a partir do modo de salvamento de energia, dos componentes da unidade de computação necessários para se responder à requisição, e a resposta à requisição, usando-se os componentes seletivamente ativados da unidade de computação. Como um exemplo, a unidade de computação pode compreender um laptop, e a fonte externa pode compreender um PDA, e a requisição pode incluir uma requisição do PDA, para recuperação de dados ou para o armazenamento de dados no laptop.
