São descritos ligandos de bisfosfolano não-C~ 2~-simétricos e métodos para a sua preparação. A utilização de complexos de metal/bis-fosfolano não-C~ 2~-simétricos para catalisar reações de transformação assimétrica para se obter excesso enatiomérico elevado dos compostos formados também é descrita.
