Abstract

"RODAS FERROVIáRIAS RESISTENTES à TRANSFORMAçãO MARTENSìTICA". Aços possuindo uma estrutura perlítica (ver Figura 6) e contendo de 0,60 a 1,0 por cento em peso de carbono, de 1,1 a 3,0 por cento em peso de silício, de 0,45 a 0,85 por cento em peso de manganês, menos de 0,050 por cento em peso de enxofre e menos de 0,050 por cento em peso de fósforo com o restante do aço sendo de ferro e de impurezas incidentais, podem ser usados para produzir rodas para uso ferroviário que são resistentes às transformações martensíticas e, portanto, ao lascamento. A adição de 0,50 a 1,0 por cento em peso de cromo a tais aços adicionalmente melhora suas resistências ao lascamento.
