Abstract

"CéLULA ELETROLìTICA PARA A PRODUçãO DE ALUMìNIO, FILEIRA QUE TEM UMA PLURALIDADE DE CéLULAS ELETROLìTICAS MéTODOS PARA MANTER UMA CROSTA EM UMA PAREDE LATERAL DE UMA CéLULA ELETROLìTICA, E, PARA RECUPERAR ELETRICIDADE DE UMA CéLULA ELETROLìTICA". A presente invenção diz respeito a uma célula eletrolítica para a produção de alumínio que compreende um anodo e um tanque eletrolítico em que o tanque eletrolítico compreende um revestimento externo feito de aço e blocos de carbono no fundo do tanque que forma o catodo das células eletrolíticas. Pelo menos uma parte da parede lateral do tanque eletrolítico consiste de um ou mais painéis refrigerados por evaporação, e em que em alta temperatura, o material resistente ao calor e isolante térmico é arranjado entre os painéis refrigerados por evaporação e a carcaça de aço. A invenção também inclui um método para manter uma crosta na parede lateral do tanque e para recuperação de calor do meio de resfriamento dentro do painel para transformação em energia elétrica.
