Abstract

"MéTODO DE CODIFICAçãO/DECODIFICAçãO DE UM SINAL DE VìDEO REPRESENTANDO UMA SEQUêNCIA DE IMAGENS, MéTODO DE ENCOBRIMIENTO DE ERROS, E, CODIFICADOR/DECODIFICADOR DE VìDEO". Método para codificar um sinal de vídeo representando uma seq³ência de imagens, o método compreende comparar a primeira imagem com a segunda imagem, calcular uma medida de similaridade entre primeira e segunda imagens, comparar a medida de similaridade com um critério predeterminado de similaridade e, quando a medida de similaridade não encontrar o critério de similaridade predeterminado, produzir um indicador indicando que o método de encobrimento de erro preditivo não temporariamente deveria ser usado por um decodificador subseq³ente e, quando a medida de similaridade encontra o critério de similaridade predeterminado, produzir um indicador indicando que o método de encobrimento de erro preditivo temporariamente deveria ser usado por um decodificador subseq³ente.
