Abstract
一种编码视频信息时通过扩展视频信息字段而表示编码和非编码的方法,用于容错模式,可减少取决于编码视频信息特性的位量。其中,通过扩展一用在H.263和MPEG-4中的编码(COD)字段来对图像编码,该编码字段表示的情况为:对运动向量(MV)和离散余弦变换(DCT)值都不编码;对MV和DCT都编码;仅对MV编码。因此在信道出错时,扩展的COD字段用于容错模式,在图像运动不变时,可以比传统技术更少的位量对视频信息编码。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及编码视频信息的方法,尤其涉及通过扩展视频信息段而表示编码或非编码的方法。而且,本发明涉及减少视频位量(amount of video bits)的方法,由此,一种通过信息段的扩展用于表示编码或非编码,从而代表编码或非编码的方法,可应用于容错模式,并且,由此可减少取决于要编码的视频信息特性的位量。
背景技术
在以块为基础的编解码器(block-based codec)、以对象为基础的编解码器(object-based codec)、或者以形为基础的编解码器(shape-based codec)的情况下,通常的对运动图像进行编码的技术如下所述。对在当前块中与一先前帧中最相似的运动向量,以及对相对于实际数据(real data)之间的差异的实际值或修改值(如,DCT),进行编码以产生数据,从而对块进行了编码。
在H.263和MPEG-4中,“COD(编码(code))”字段(field)用于察看所述两个特性值是否是以位流进行编码的。
图1是说明以通常位流表示编码和非编码的方法的概念图。
如图1所示,运动向量MV和DCT系数是否被编码是由COD字段的一位值来代表的。也就是说,如果COD字段的位为“0”,就表示MV和DCT被编码,而如果COD字段的该位为“1”,则表示MV和DCT不被编码。
然而,当利用COD字段来报告是否对块编码或非编码时,此信息只能用一位来表示。这样,在某些情况下,当这一位用在有差错的信道中时,仅通过一个差错位容易误判整个信息。
并且,在图像在预定背景上运动的情况下,在实际编码中仅要求运动向量(MV),而不需要差值(DCT)。在传统的技术中,差值(DCT)也被编码,于是增加了位量。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是提供一种当编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,由此,通过扩展用在H.263和MPEG-4中的“COD”字段,可以避免当视频信息在信道中进行传输时以差错进行的误判。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,由此,通过扩展用在H.263和MPEG-4中的“COD”字段,可以产生比传统技术更少的,通过对相对于固定视频运动信息的图像运动进行编码而获得的数据量。
本发明的编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,通过扩展一用在H.263和MPEG-4中的编码(COD)字段来对图像进行编码,该编码(COD)字段表示这样的情况:对运动向量(MV)和离散余弦变换(DCT)值都不进行编码;对MV和DCT都进行编码;和仅对MV进行编码。

具体实施方式
如图2所示,COD字段扩展了一位,结果就减少了对COD信息错误解码的可能性,并产生了比传统技术更少的,相对于仅利用一位运动向量足以表示信息的图像的编码数据量。也就是说,COD字段不仅表示两个代表值的编码或非编码,也表示当仅需要两个代表值中的一个运动向量时的情况。对此,对COD字段进行了2位列表。也就是说,2位中的“11”表示对MV和DCT都不编码,“00”表示对MV和DCT都编码,而“01”表示仅对MV编码。在此,我们可以确认,“10”表示仅对DCT进行编码,对此在本实施例中没有限定。
当视频编解码器通过COD的表示以容错模式进行编码时,仅用“00”和“11”来防止“01”情况下的有缺陷传输。以这种方式,与以一位表示COD的情况相比,在有差错的信道中极少发生误判。
并且,当对一段打包数据以容错模式进行分解和传输时,可采用下述方法。也就是说,在COD之前利用可变长度编码(VLC)方法对包中的COD的数字“1”进行编码并传输。在此,当组合编码都以“00”表示时,“0”被传输,而当组合编码以“11”表示时,“1”被传输。不传输原始的COD。在残留(residual)的情况下,无改变地传输VLC和COD的原始表示。这样,COD的信息字段被扩展,可更可靠地应用于容错模式。
本发明并不限于上面描述实施例,很明显,本领域技术人员可以在本发明的实质范围内对本发明进行修改。例如,对本领域技术人员来讲,很明显,在编码视频信息时表示编码的方法中,COD定段可由2位或更多位表示。并且,对本领域技术人员来讲,差错信道的确定,和对图像是否是在固定背景下移动的确定是显而易见的,因此不再对它们进行详细描述。在此,将这两种确定应用于代表编码视频信息时进行编码的方法中。
按照如上所述的本发明,在有差错信道中,扩展COD字段,并且扩展后的COD字段可用在容错模式中。并且,在图像进行规定运动的背景下,可以以比传统技术更少的位量对视频信息进行编码。
Claims (5)
1.一种编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,其特征在于,通过扩展一用在H.263和MPEG-4中的编码(COD)字段来对图像进行编码,该编码(COD)字段表示这样的情况:对运动向量(MV)和离散余弦变换(DCT)值都不进行编码;对MV和DCT都进行编码;和仅对MV进行编码。
2.如权利要求1所述的编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,其中,当所述COD字段的位值为“11”时,表示对MV和DCT都不编码,当所述COD字段的位值为“00”时,表示对MV和DCT都编码,而当所述COD字段的位值为“01”时,表示仅对MV编码。
3.如权利要求2所述的编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,其中,当信道中发生差错时,仅将“00”和“11”两个值用于容错模式。
4.如权利要求3所述的编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,其中,当以容错模式对打包数据进行分解和传输时,在COD字段之前利用可变长度编码(VLC)方法对包中的COD字段的数字“1”进行编码并传输,而不传输原始的COD,并且,当所结合编码的位值为“00”,“0”被传输,而当所结合编码的位值为“11”时,“1”被传输,在其它结合情况下,无改变地传输VLC和COD的原始编码。
5.如权利要求2所述的编码视频信息时表示编码的方法,其中,在图像的运动有规律的背景下,值“01”表示仅对视频信息的MV进行编码。
