Abstract
"PROCESSOS E APARELHOS PARA FORMAR LINHAS DE ENFRAQUECIMENTO EM UMA PEçA DE GUARNIçãO AUTOMOTIVA QUE COBRE UMA INSTALAçãO DE AIRBAG E PARA ENFRAQUECER UMA PEçA DE GUARNIçãO AUTOMOTIVA QUE COBRE UMA INSTALAçãO DE AIRBAG". é divulgado um método e aparelho para formar linhas de enfraquecimento em uma peça de guarnição automotiva (16, 16A, 16B) de maneira a possibilitar a formação de uma abertura para armação do airbag na peça de guarnição. Um feixe de corte (12), tal como um laser, é direcionado para a superfície da peça de guarnição a ser entalhada, e um sensor emite um feixe de detecção, e um dispositivo de combinação do feixe (22) recebe tanto o feixe sensor como o feixe laser e faz com que os segmentos de feixe à jusante fiquem colineares entre si à medida que eles colidem com a superfície da peça de guarnição. O entalhamento (40, 40B) pode ser assim realizado em um único passe, e é precisa, reprodutível e independente da profundidade de corte, ângulo de corte e padrões de entalhe, inconsistência de material, cor do material e variabilidade de rugosidade superficial.
