A placa de linha pode suportar serviços concomitantes de DSL assimétricos e de telefonia simples ou suportar serviços DSL. Uma interface xDSL fornece o processamento para os sinais DSL e uma interface de telefonia simples fornece o processamento para os sinais de telefonia simples.
