Abstract
"MéTODO DE OPERAçãO DE INSTRUMENTOS MICROCIRúRGICOS". A presente invenção refere-se a um método de operar um instrumento microcirúrgico, tal como uma sonda de vitrectomia (10). A sonda inclui um orifício (16) para receber tecido e um membro de corte interno (14). O fluxo de tecido é induzido para dentro do orifício com uma fonte de vácuo, e o membro é acionado de forma cíclica para abrir e fechar o orifício sobre uma pluralidade de coeficientes de corte. O ciclo de trabalho do membro é variado com o coeficiente de corte para variar o fluxo de tecido para dentro do orifício. O método proporciona a capacidade de ajustar o coeficiente de fluxo para dentro da sonda e a abertura da sonda para um determinado coeficiente de corte de modo a realizar de forma eficaz uma grande variedade de objetivos cirúrgicos vítreo-retinais.
