Abstract

"SISTEMA DE INDUçãO OU SUPRIMENTO DE GáS UMIDIFICANTE, MOTOR, VEìCULO MOTORIZADO E CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL". O vapor d'água é introduzido em uma corrente de ar de admissão (16) de um motor (12), por exemplo, por um processo de pervaporação através de uma membrana hidrofílica não porosa (18). Um reservatório de água (20), o qual pode conter água contaminada, fornece um gradiente de pressão de vapor através da membrana hidrofílica (18) para a corrente de ar de admissão (16), enquanto a taxa de aplicação do vapor d'água a um cilindro (38-40) é auto-regulada pela vazão de ar através da membrana. Portanto, a membrana hidrofílica (18) também filtra a água do reservatório de água (20) até uma extensão em que o vapor d'água puro é passado para a corrente de admissão de ar (16).
