Abstract
"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA A ELETRODEPOSIçãO DE METAL". Um processo e aparelho para manter a eletrodeposição de metal sobre um catodo em uma célula eletrolítica. A célula compreende um anodo metálico, um catodo, um banho eletrolítico e uma fonte principal de energia para aplicar um potencial elétrico através do anodo e do catodo resultando em uma corrente à frente e na deposição do metal do anodo sobre o catodo. Uma fonte auxiliar de energia é também provida para a conexão à célula. Nos casos em que o suprimento da fonte principal de energia cai abaixo de um valor predeterminado, o suprimento da fonte de energia auxiliar mantém uma direção e a quantidade de fluxo de corrente predeterminadas na célula. A fonte de energia auxiliar pode ser contínua ou ser ativada somente quando o fluxo de corrente e/ou a direção da corrente cai abaixo de um valor predeterminado.
