Abstract
"APARELHO PARA MAPEAR A ESPESSURA DE PAREDE DE UM TUBO OU OUTRO OBJETO POSSUINDO MOVIMENTO EM DUAS DIREçõES". Um aparelho e método para mapear a espessura de parede de um tubo ou outro objeto que tem movimento em duas direções. O dispositivo inclui um primeiro laser para gerar ultra-som que se propaga no interior da parede do tubo sobre determinado ponto de geração em uma superfície do tubo, um segundo laser acoplado a um interferómetro para detectar os ecos ultra-sónicos produzidos por um ponto de detecção na superfície. Um processador é fornecido para operar nos ecos ultra-sónicos registrados e utilizar um valor dado de velocidade ultra-sónica e a distância entre o ponto de geração e os pontos de detecção para determinar uma espessura de parede a um ponto médio entre o ponto de geração e o de detecção. Um dispositivo de medição de deslocamento ótimo determina o deslocamento em duas dimensões entre o ponto de geração e um ponto inicial arbitrário e uma tela para exibir valores de espessura de parede pela superfície do tubo.
