Abstract
<B>DISPOSITIVO PORTáTIL PARA TESTAR UMA UNIDADE EOT DE UM SISTEMA DE RADIOTELEMETRIA<D> Um dispositivo portátil permite o teste de uma unidade EOT de um sistema radiotelemetria de fim-de-trem (EOT) de duas vias. Durante o teste, a unidade EOT pode ser montada em e totalmente instalada no vagão no qual ela deve ser usada. O dispositivo portátil inclui uma unidade de microprocessador, um dispositivo de exibição, e um transceptor que permite que a invenção se comunique com a unidade EOT. O dispositivo portátil inclui também um mecanismo para autorizar o dispositivo portátil a se comunicar com a unidade EOT. Usada para controlar a operação global do dispositivo portátil, a unidade de microprocessador opera o transceptor em cooperação com o mecanismo anteriormente mencionado de modo a autorizar o dispositivo portátil a se comunicar com a unidade EOT de acordo com um procedimento de preparação. A unidade de microprocessador opera também o dispositivo de exibição no qual são indicados o progresso e a conclusão do procedimento de preparação. Quando o dispositivo portátil é autorizado a operar com a unidade EOT, o dispositivo de exibição é orientado para indicar dados operacionais que ele recebe da unidade EOT pertencentes ao vagão ao qual é conectada a unidade EOT. O dispositivo portátil inclui ainda um mecanismo para iniciar uma redução em pressão de emergência dentro do tubo de freio do vagão. Quando o mecanismo de iniciação de emergência é ativado, a unidade de microprocessador comanda o transceptor para transmitir um sinal de freio de emergência. Através desse sinal de freio de emergência é que a unidade EOT é ordenada a reduzir a pressão dentro do tubo de freio do vagão em uma taxa de emergência.
