Abstract

<B>MéTODOS E APARELHO PARA DIVERSIDADE DE ENLACE DESCENDENTE EM CDMA USANDO CóDIGOS WALSH <D>Diversidade de enlace descendente em um sistema de CDMA é provida mediante emprego de códigos Walsh em conjunto com M antenas de transmissão em uma estação de base comum servindo K estações móveis, onde M pode ou não ser igual a K. A presente invenção proporciona métodos e aparelhos para aperfeiçoar diversidade de enlace descendente em um sistema de CDMA. Cada antena de transmissão transmite um sinal representando o resultado da modulação dos códigos Walsh por sinais de dados para cada uma das K estações móveis, considerando que há dados pertencentes a uma estação móvel específica. A atribuição de códigos Walsh é realizada de acordo com uma matriz T de transmissão. A matriz de transmissão converte os símbolos de dados de usuário em códigos Walsh para cada antena e é projetada preferivelmente de tal modo que suas colunas são representativas das antenas de transmissão e são ortogonais. Assim, em uma estação móvel determinada, a estação móvel precisa apenas correlacionar-se com M códigos walsh diferentes uma vez que cada sinal de transmissão recebido contém um componente que é o resultado de M códigos Walsh diferentes tendo sido modulados por um sinal de dados associado àquela estação móvel específica. O conjunto de códigos Walsh dos quais se faz a seleção inclui 2^ [log2(k)] ^ códigos Walsh. Contudo, com relação a qualquer estação móvel determinada, são necessários apenas tantos códigos Walsh diferentes quantas são as antenas de transmissão servindo a estação móvel específica. Os resultados das M correlações respectivas são combinados e, com estimativas obtidas de canal, o receptor avalia os dados específicos pertencendo àquela estação móvel específica de modo que os mesmos podem ser providos ao usuário. Além disso, a presente invenção proporciona várias formas de avaliar os canais respectivos entre M antenas de transmissão e estação móvel. Deve ser considerado que as técnicas de diversidade de enlace descendente da invenção podem ser aplicadas à camada física proposta na proposição de projeto de camada física do IS95-C.
